◉ Clinic Information Systems (CIS)
■ Purpose: To support patient registration and cashier, and to enter clinical information to the electronic medical record (EMR) and medical orders to CPOE at clinics. Since most of clinics in Cambodia have pharmacy, pharmacy module was also developed to support dispensing medicine.
■ Modules:
● Patient management systems (PMS)
○ Registration module captures patient’s demographic information, address, and insurance information.
○ Cashier handles payment of treatment fee and prints receipts.
○ Accounting reports provides daily and monthly income statistics.
● Medical module
○ Electronic medical record (EMR) maintains clinical information such as chief complaint, symptoms, and diagnosis that are entered by doctor at clinics.
○ Computerized provider order entry (CPOE) handles prescription order, lab test and radiology test orders that are entered by doctor. Since most clinics do not own laboratory or radiology room, doctor enters test orders to this module and prints out them for patients.
○ Pharmacy module processes dispensing drug according to prescription order and manages drug inventory. For those clinics with pharmacy, doctor’s prescription orders are directly sent to the pharmacy module for dispensing drugs.
